Mecklenburg Independence Day Celebration

Join us this weekend for a very special event: The Mecklenburg Independence Day Celebration!

The Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence is a text with the claim that it was the first declaration of independence made in the Thirteen Colonies during the American Revolution. It was supposedly signed on May 20, 1775, in Charlotte, North Carolina, by a committee of citizens of Mecklenburg County, who declared independence from Great Britain after hearing of the battle of Lexington.

We will be pouring beers that were made in honor of this historic event including Olde Meck's Capt. Jack Pilsner, NoDa's 1775 Pale Ale (brand new beer made in collaboration with the soccer team Charlotte Independence), and a few others.

Come celebrate this historic moment with us all weekend long!
